Formal ceremony to mark Binh Thuan Tourism Day

BTO – Binh Thuan department of Culture, Sports and Tourism formally celebrated 19^th anniversary of Binh Thuan Tourism Day (October 24^th 1995- October 24^th 2014) and honor some typical individuals and businesses with great contributions to tourism industry during the ceremony held at Park Diamond hotel, Phan Thiet city. Several local government leaders and tourism representatives attended the gala on Friday night (October 24^th).

Over the past 19 years, the local tourism sector has overcomed many ups and downs to develop Binh Thuan as a friendly, safe, attractive and high-quality destination thanks to common efforts of the whole community and reasonable exploitation of natural resources and potentiality. Hopefully, the local tourism industry will continue harvesting much more fruit in the upcoming time, deserving as a leading-edge industry, stated Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam - vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee-cum-head of Steering Committee on Binh Thuan Tourism development.

Outstanding travel businesses were cited at the event.

The provincial People’s Committee decided to award certificates of merit to 10 typical collectives and 5 individuals in domain of tourism activities of 2014  at the event. At the same time, other 9 collectives and 6 individuals who made considerable contributions to the development of Binh Thuan’s tourism industry were honored by functional agencies. On that occasion, Binh Thuan Tourism Association granted 100 million dong to the Fund for social charity in Binh Thuan.
