Binh Thuan’s tourism turnover soars in September, 2016

BTO - In September, 2016, tourism sector has kept its strong growth and met increasing demand of visitors. Local tourism authorities have well implemented regular inspection work to ensure that all accommodations and travel agencies have consciously abided by regulations on tourism business activities. Work relating to security and rescue in supports of tourists staying at coastal resorts has been well performed and intensified during peak holidays and festivals. Tourist accommodations have also paid attention to ensuring clean environment and food safety. Prices of travel services and commodities have remained stable in weekends and festive days. In the first nine months of the year, Binh Thuan welcomed an estimate of 3,230,381 turns of visitors, making up 73.2 percent of the whole year’s plan and raising by 6.6 percent compared with the same period last year. The total number of days staying of tourists reached 4,816.753 days, a year-on-year increase of 8.1 percent. In particular, there were 372,441 turns of international holiday-makers coming to Binh Thuan from January to September, an increase of13.1 percent in comparison with the corresponding period of 2015. Nine-month revenue posted a 19.4 percent increase with an estimate of 6.428 trillion, fulfiling 71.4 percent of the year’s targets.
